Hi, and welcome to my website!
I’m Raahil Parikh, a Mechanical Engineering student at Georgia Tech with a passion for robotics, mechatronics, and mechanically intelligent systems. I enjoy taking projects from an initial idea through mechanical design, fabrication, electronics, programming, and testing. My work includes a patent-pending compliant gripping mechanism, an intelligent three-jaw adaptive gripper, and a six-degree-of-freedom 3D-printed robotic arm.
Before Georgia Tech, I led and helped rebuild Andover High School’s robotics program, guiding FTC Team 4410 ARC Lightning to consecutive FIRST Championship appearances and helping secure more than $41,000 in sponsorships and grants. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in engineering, project management, team leadership, and technical communication.
Teaching and mentorship are also important to me. I started by leading youth robotics programs in the United States and South Asia, where I developed curricula, ran multiple cohorts across three original program formats, coached FIRST LEGO League teams, and organized larger community events. I later took on more advanced teaching as a Teaching Assistant and Course Developer for MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute, helping students learn autonomous robotics and work through complex projects involving mechanical design, electronics, and programming. Across these programs, I have directly taught and mentored more than 100 students while reaching over 300 overall.
Outside engineering, I’m a drummer with 14 years of experience performing across a wide range of genres and cultures. In my free time, you’ll usually find me playing music, building something new, watching the NFL or Formula 1, or searching for great pizza recipes (or restaurants!).
